Muddy Nature Hike + Cookout - Mosta Valley - Sat 19th Nov 2011

The weather forecast didn’t look very promising but thankfully, the weather held back and besides a couple of drops whilst cooking, we managed to complete our Muddy Nature Hike and Cookout! :) Our day was a very long and muddy one! Starting off from the Chapel of San Pawl Tal-Qlejgha, we hiked through the Mosta valley whilst singing, observing nature, passing through bushes and getting muddy, covering some 6km. Throughout the hike, we had short stops which allowed Cubs to have a small snack and water. Some 3hrs later, we arrived to our final point - just past the Mosta Bridge. Cubs then swept the area for firewood and soon overcame the damp wood problem and lit their fires, all ready to eat! A great hike complimented with nature, some mud, a few slips and a hot, fire cooked, meal = True Scouting!
