Naxxar 75th Anniversary Parade - Sun 20th March 2011

Sunday, 20th March 2011 marked the day that the Naxxar Scout Group turned 75 years old! To commemorate their Platinum Anniversary, the Naxxar Scout Group asked all Groups from the North District to join in on a parade which was held in the locality of Naxxar. The Sliema Group held the Pride of Place as we were asked to march right behind the Naxxar Scout Group. Most of the Sliema Group met up in Sliema at 8am and boarded a bus to Naxxar where we met the rest of our Group and many other groups. At around 9.15am, we marched up the main road of Naxxar towards the church and celebrated mass all together. Following mass, we marched to Naxxar Scout Group HQ and had some refreshments in the playground. All was over by 12.15pm.
