WEP Badge - Ghajn Tuffieha - Sat 1st Oct 2011

The World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) has very recently issued a new badge based on the Environment - The World Environment Programme (WEP). This badge aims to help Scouts all around the world work together for the good of the local and global environment. Our IHQ organised a National Event for all the Cubs to take part. Sliema, together with other groups spent a day learning new things about the environment and how we can help protect it. Cubs also had hands-on experiments throughout the 5 workshops and even planted some flower seeds. This also served as an activity to meet new Cubs from other groups. Sliema was paired with St Michael School, San Anton and Fgura Cubs. A big thank you to the IHQ (Island Head Quarters) Staff who helped organise this event
