Group inaugurates new Qui-Si-Sana Garden - Sun 12th Dec 2010

On Sunday, 12th December, the 1st Sliema Scout Group was invited to Officially open the Qui-Si-Sana public garden/park in Sliema. The park is named after the Late former Finance Minister George Bonello du Puis. We marched from Dingli Street all the way to Qui-Si-Sana together with the Sliema Salesian Brigade in order to inaugurate this €2 million public garden together with Sliema Mayor Johanna Gonzi, Rural Affairs Minister George Pullicino and Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi. The park includes different areas with adequate equipment for children of various ages together with outdoor gym equipment and relaxation areas. The garden is in the shape of a cradle to shelter the area from the winds. Sliema Scouts also set up a stand selling hot chocolate and mince pies as a form of fundraising.
